The CAM4FA556 flash hider fits the M4, M16/AR-15, and other 5.56mm (.223 cal.) semi-auto, bolt-action, or assault rifles with Mil-Spec 1/2-28 muzzle threads and—due to the overlap design—the first 2.75″ of barrel (measured from the muzzle back) must be clear of obstructions and no more than .749″ in diameter.
Modeled on US military “bird cage” flash hiders, the CAM4FA556 flash hider delivers superior muzzle flash suppression. This provides three benefits—minimizing degradation of your night-adapted vision, helping to conceal your position, and reducing muzzle rise. Machined from heat-treated stainless steel, finished in a tough, corrosion-resistant coating, it is extremely resistant to gas and particle erosion and will perform perfectly for thousands of rounds.
The CAM4FA556 flash hider also serves as a precision, rock-solid adapter mount that enables rapid no-tools attachment of the SureFire FA556AR (previously M4FA) suppressor to the M4, M16 with 12.5″ or longer barrel, and other semi-auto, bolt-action, or assault rifles with the same muzzle thread/configuration described above.
